The Gathering Place

Stonebridge was selected by long-time client TheGeorge Kaiser Family Foundation to serve as the Owner’s Representative for The Gathering Place Park in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Upon completion of the bidding process, the selected Construction Manager returned bids that were over $50,000,000 over budget. Stonebridge advised our client to replace the construction manager with Crossland Construction. Crossland was able to complete the same scope of work with no added time for $50,000,000 less.

The Gathering Place is one of America’s top parks, containing over six miles of park paths, acres of green space, two buildings with dining options, extensive landscaping, world class playground equipment, two land bridges spanning Riverside Drive and three wood timber bridges.

The Gathering Place has received extensive national media attention and has received numerous awards such as; USA Today’s Best City Park 2021, ENR Texas & Louisiana Best Project of 2019, Time Magazine’s 100 Best Places to Visit 2019, USA Today’s Best New Attraction 2019 and National Geographic’s 12 Mind-bending Playgrounds Around the World.
